GWO MANUAL HANDLING / MANUAL HANDLING REFRESHER – 16th June

The in-depth GWO Manual Handling Course is specifically aimed at personnel who work, or will be working, in the wind industry or another related field. This may include duties on wind turbines or other offshore structures that require knowledge gained from GWO Manual Handling.
The GWO Manual Handling Refresher module covers the same content, duration and learning objectives as our standard Manual Handling course, so it’s open to first-time delegates and refresher delegates. No matter your experience, you’re guaranteed to get a first-class education in manual handling.
The course delivered by our team of in-house CWind Training instructors. Each has years of experience in the offshore wind industry, and are experts in providing GWO Manual Handling Course training to businesses across the world.

Summary:
The aim of this extensive GWO Manual Handling module is to encourage positive manual handling behaviour across the offshore wind industry. Throughout the course, we train our GWO Manual Handling students on the ability to perform manual handling tasks in a safe and considered manner no matter where they are. The result is a more professional, experienced team that is equipped with the knowledge to make the right decisions when required – ensuring offshore wind organisations have fully-trained and able staff for a variety of situations.
Pre-Requisites:
The GWO Manual Handling course can be physically demanding, and to participate in the training, you must be medically fit and capable of participating fully.
You must provide us with a copy of your valid, current medical certificate as proof of your recent fitness.
Other pre-requisites:
- You must provide a valid photographic ID such as a Passport or Driving Licence
- You must be 18+
- This course is run in English and as such you must have an appropriate level of fluency in order to participate

Equipment required:
- Appropriate clothing to climb in (we advise loose clothing which does not hinder your movement)
- Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions (Parts of the training will take place outsite)
- Safety footwear
You are allowed to bring your own PPE other than that provided by CWind Training. In order to proceed with the GWO Manual Handling Course, you must provide a signed self-declaration stating that the equipment you provide is in good condition and relevant inspections are up to date. CWind Training withholds the right to refuse use of equipment if it fails visual inspection from our instructors.
